Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Renewly ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application. Renewly is built to be private by design: there is no account, no sign-up, and no bank linking.
Information We Collect
Renewly stores your subscription data (names, amounts, billing cycles, dates, categories, notes, and settings) locally on your device using SwiftData. If you keep iCloud enabled, this data is synced through your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or have access to your subscription data on our servers.
We do not ask for your name, email, or any account credentials, and we do not connect to your bank or payment accounts.
On-Device Receipt Capture
When you import a receipt, screenshot, or pasted text, Renewly reads it using Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). This processing happens entirely on your device. Receipt content is not uploaded to us or to any third party, and is only used to pre-fill a subscription for you to review and save.
Currency Exchange Rates
If you use multiple currencies, Renewly fetches up-to-date exchange rates from our rates service. These requests contain only the data needed to return current rates — they do not include any of your subscription data or any personal information.
Purchases
The one-time Pro unlock is processed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment information. RevenueCat may process anonymized purchase data as described in their Privacy Policy.
iCloud Sync
Your subscription data is synced through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure using your own iCloud account, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Renewly schedules local notifications on your device for upcoming charges and trial endings. No notification data is sent to our servers.
Analytics & Tracking
Renewly does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising, or cross-app tracking. We do not build a profile of you.
Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store & RevenueCat — one-time purchase management (Privacy Policy)
- Apple CloudKit — iCloud sync of your data (Privacy Policy)
Data Retention
Your subscription data is stored on your device and/or your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes local data. You can manage iCloud data through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
Children's Privacy
Renewly does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is rated 4+ and collects no personally identifiable information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
